The 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines’ historic South Course kicks off Thursday, June 17, and concludes on Father’s Day, June 20. There are many different ways to watch the action at the third major of the year on TV and online. Scroll down to learn everything you need to know about watching the tournament from home.
How to watch the U.S. Open
The first and most recent time the U.S. Open travelled to La Jolla, Calif., and Torrey Pines, one Tiger Woods fought off multiple leg injuries and a determined Rocco Mediate to capture his third national championship and 14th major title. Woods will be watching from home this year, but despite his absence, several interweaving storylines make this week’s tournament a must-watch, for Tiger and all golf fans.
Phil Mickelson, who recently captured his sixth major at the PGA Championship, will have the fans on his side as he tries to finally claim a U.S. Open victory and complete the career grand slam in front of a hometown crowd.
But World No. 3 Jon Rahm is sure to have some vocal support behind him as well. The pre-tournament betting favorite, Rahm will try to come back from a devastating turn of events two weeks ago, when he was forced to withdraw from the Memorial Tournament with a six-stroke lead due to a positive Covid-19 test.
And don’t forget about defending champion Bryson DeChambeau, who has risen to No. 5 in the world and will be looking to KO the South Course with massive drives and win his second-straight title.
You can find out exactly how to watch the U.S. Open below, including full TV and streaming schedules, tee times for Rounds 1, 2 and more.
