The 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open is already at the halfway point, and if you wanted to make the weekend at TPC Scottsdale, turns out, you needed to go low. Sixty-six players shot 3-under or better through 36 holes, and will continue to compete on Saturday and Sunday. You can find full third round tee times at the bottom of this post.

Notable groupings for Waste Management Phoenix Open Round 3

The top of the leaderboard is packed with talent after two rounds, and Xander Schauffele emerged as the man to chase after he fired a second-round 64 (7-under) to lead the field by one shot at 12-under overall.

Why a Jordan Spieth comeback may have seen its most positive sign

Schauffele is seeking his fifth career Tour victory — but there are a number of players trailing him who are determined to not make it easy on him. Among them: Schauffele’s final groupmates on Saturday, Steve Stricker and Keegan Bradley. The trio will begin the third round at 12:55 p.m. ET on Saturday.

Another player to watch this weekend: Jordan Spieth, whose resurgent play is exciting his legion of fans. Spieth hasn’t won on Tour since the 2017 British Open and his struggle to regain control over his game has been an enduring storyline in the years since. But Spieth is currently T8 after signing for a pair of 67s, and trails Schauffele by only four shots. Spieth will play the third round alongside Billy Horschel and Nate Lashley at 12:33 p.m. ET.

Other notable groupings include Justin Thomas, Cameron Tringale and Nick Hardy at 12:00 p.m. ET, James Hahn, Matthew NeSmith and Brooks Koepka at 12:22 p.m. ET and Russell Knox, Rory McIlroy, Scott Stallings at 11:16 a.m. ET.
