They say that if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck. But ducks weren’t the only thing in the water today at the Champions Tour’s Senior PGA Championship at the Pete Dye Course in French Lick, Indiana.
Then-leader Brian Henninger was one-under on the day when he approached the par-3 seventh. What happened next shocked even the broadcasters covering the event.
“He must be careful with…uh oh,” said NBC’s Gary Koch. “That is way right. That…that looked like a shank.”
That’s because it was. Henninger double-bogeyed the hole.
