Only at the halfway point, the 2021 PGA Championship has already provided golf fans with plenty of surprises (hello, Phil Mickelson). And plenty more excitement is in store for Saturday’s third round at Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course. You can view complete third round tee times at the bottom of this post.

Notable Pairings for PGA Championship Round 3

Nothing is ever certain when dealing with Phil Mickelson, except maybe one thing: virtually no one picked him to contend this week, let alone lead the tournament at any point. But that’s exactly where he found himself when he finished Round 2. Mickelson shot an incredible 69 on a blustery Friday at the Ocean Course to reach the top of the leaderboard at five under.

Mickelson will have a legitimate shot to win this weekend, and he’ll play in the final pairing on Saturday alongside the player who is tied with him for the lead, 2010 Open champion Louis Oosthuizen. They will start their rounds at 2:40 p.m. ET. Denny McCarthy will begin the proceedings in a group all by himself at 7:40 a.m. ET.
