Thanksgiving is in the rearview, but sports fans have their entertainment lined up for Friday. Phil Mickelson and Charles Barkley will take on Steph Curry and Peyton Manning in a charity golf match dubbed The Match: Champions for Change at The Stone Canyon Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch the event.
How to watch The Match 3 on TV
The Match 3 will be televised live by TNT on Friday, November 27. The match begins at 3 p.m. ET, but you can tune in for pre-match coverage starting at 2 p.m. ET. And if you’re just learning about it today, it’s important to know that this isn’t your average golf match.
The format for the event, which will be played at The Stone Canyon Club in Arizona, is modified alternate shot match play. More importantly, all four competitors will be mic’d up throughout the event. Both Mickelson and Barkley are well-known for their trash-talk on and off the course, so you’re guaranteed at least a few hearty laughs during the telecast.
Cameras will closely follow the players as well, including inside their golf carts. In addition, the analysts in the TV booth will be able to communicate directly with the players through the use of ear pieces.
How to watch The Match 3 online
You can stream the entire TNT broadcast online at TNT.com by signing in with your cable credentials. Bleacher Report will provide additional coverage of The Match 3 via its app.
