The Sanderson Farms Championship is headlined by a myriad of young stars, and last year’s PGA Tour Rookie of the Year is the favorite. Scottie Scheffler heads to Mississippi with 10/1 odds according to golfodds.com as he looks to secure his first victory on Tour.
Scheffler was among the hottest players in the game in August with a T4 finish at the PGA Championship and 59 at the Northern Trust. However, his momentum was thwarted just before the U.S. Open when he tested positive for Covid-19 and was forced to withdraw from the second major of the year. Last year he finished T16 at Sanderson in his second event of the season.
Behind Scheffler comes another former Rookie of the Year, Sungjae Im, who holds 14/1 odds. Im is looking for his second Tour victory as he returns to Sanderson, where he finished second last fall. Rising star Will Zalatoris holds 18/1 odds and will look to continue his top-20 streak that dates back to February. Sam Burns and Sebastian Munoz round out the top five with 25/1 odds.
