With the Presidents Cup in the rearview, the new PGA Tour season kicks back into gear with the 2022 Sanderson Farms Championship. According to the Sanderson Farms Championship betting odds via BetMGM, a few Presidents Cup competitors are among the betting favorites. Here’s what you need to know.

2022 Sanderson Farms Championship odds: This week’s favorites

Sam Burns made his U.S. team debut last week at Quail Hollow, but despite the Americans’ big win, things didn’t go so smoothly for the rookie. Burns finished 0-3-2 for the week, but those results don’t seem to be factoring into his odds to win the Sanderson Farms, where he’s the defending champion. Burns leads the way as the betting favorite at +1000.

Two other Presidents Cuppers find themselves in the Top 10 in odds to win, and both of them were rookie members of the International squad at Quail Hollow: Sebastian Munoz (+2800) and Christiaan Bezuidenhout (+3300).

Sitting in second place in betting odds this week is rising star and likely future U.S. team member Sahith Theegala. The 24-year-old Californian is on the hunt for his first PGA Tour victory after a solid season last year. He comes into the Sanderson Farms with +1800 odds to win.

2022 Sanderson Farms Championship odds: Long shot of the week

Our long shot for this week is a familiar face and a blast from the past: Rory Sabbatini. Although he’s currently ranked 220th in the Official World Golf Ranking, the 46-year-old is a six-time PGA Tour winner who has shown flashes of his younger self in recent years.

Last season, Sabbatini made 11 cuts in 18 starts, and he had a legitimate shot to win the Shriners Children’s Open in October, eventually finishing T3, his best result since 2019.

At +15000 odds to win, should Sabbatini pull off an unlikely victory this week, he could turn a modest $10 bet into $1,500.
