As technology in golf has boomed, so has the popularity of simulators. With a few clicks of a mouse, you can play exotic far-flung courses, all without ever leaving the climate-controlled confines of the sim. Now, thanks to a partnership between Nicklaus Design and Full Swing Simulators, players will have the opportunity to explore some of Jack’s most coveted designs — including Muirfield Village. Nicklaus Design and Full Swing’s partnership will begin with the unveiling of PGA National, host of the Honda Classic, as well as Muirfield Village, which this week is hosting the Memorial Tournament.
“Nicklaus Companies is constantly looking for tech-driven opportunities to bring the Nicklaus standard of excellence to new audiences,” said Howard Milstein, executive chairman of Nicklaus Companies. “We are pleased to be partnering with Full Swing as we continue to extend the reach of our brands to meet the current market.”
Full Swing’s software utilizes dual-tracking and infrared technologies combined with high-speed cameras to provide real-time feedback in vivid detail. The result is an experience that is touted as providing the highest quality graphics on the market.
“Nicklaus Design is excited to work with Full Swing to bring our portfolio of award-winning course designs to golfers,” said Jack Nicklaus II, vice chairman of Nicklaus Companies. “We believe Full Swing is a company that shares our attention to detail and goal of delivering an enjoyable and challenging golfing experience — on the course, and now off the golf course in a Full Swing simulator.”
Following the conclusion of the
Memorial Tournament, Full Swing and Nicklaus Design will provide Muirfield
Village members, as well as Full Swing subscribers, an exclusive first look at
the planned renovations of the course. They will also have the opportunity to
play the revamped tracked on the simulator.
