McIlroy’s top odds are no surprise when analyzing his body of work this season as the world No. 1 has yet to finish outside the top five in any of his six starts, including a win at the WGC-HSBS Champions last fall. This will be McIlroy’s first appearance at Colonial, but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue for the primo player on the planet.
Just behind McIlroy is fellow European Jon Rahm who enters the week with 12/1 odds. While Rahm hasn’t won yet this season, he seems to be knocking on the door nearly every week he plays with four top-10 finishes in five starts this season, including a runner-up at the Farmers Insurance Open in January. This will be Rahm’s third appearance at Colonial where he’s finished in the top five twice before.
Justin Thomas has the third-best odds at Colonial at 16/1. Thomas has already won twice this season and sits second in the FedEx Cup Standings as the season ramps back up.
Webb Simpson, Bryson DeChambeau and Xander Schauffele round out the top five, all with 25/1 odds.
