Among them is 24-year-old Collin Morikawa, the World No. 3 who just captured his second major at the Open Championship at Royal St. George’s. Morikawa joins fellow Americans Justin Thomas (No. 4) and Xander Schauffele (No. 5) as the top-ranked players in the field, according to the Official World Golf Ranking. World No. 6 Bryson DeChambeau would have given the United States the top-4 ranked players in the field, but he withdrew due to Covid-19 and was replaced by World No. 12 Patrick Reed.
