With the U.S. Open in the rearview, the PGA Tour returns this week with the 2021 Travelers Championship in Connecticut. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.

Travelers Championship preview

You’d think the game’s best players would take a week off after grinding through a difficult U.S. Open, but you’d be wrong. Instead, many of them are flying across the country to compete in the Travelers, one of the most popular Tour events among pros.

Those star players include reigning PGA champion Phil Mickelson, as well as one of the major contenders at Torrey Pines, Bryson DeChambeau. Mickelson’s U.S. Open didn’t go as planned, although he hung around to congratulate Jon Rahm after his win. DeChambeau, on the other hand, looked all week as if he’d repeat as U.S. Open champ, until a collapse on the back nine Sunday ended his chances.

They won’t be alone in the star-power department in Connecticut. Defending champion Dustin Johnson will look to get his World No. 1 ranking back after being dethroned by Rahm, and Brooks Koepka will try to carry his exemplary major play over to a regular Tour event.
