With the Players Championship in the rearview, the PGA Tour season continues on Thursday with the opening round of the 2021 Honda Classic. Here’s what you need to know to watch the first round.
Previewing Honda Classic Round 1
Lee Westwood has experienced a minor career renaissance over the past year-plus. The 47-year-old veteran who used to regularly contend in majors won the 2020 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Shortly thereafter, he contended at the Honda Classic, eventually finishing 4th.
Now Westwood is back at PGA National to attempt to better his performance from last year, and it couldn’t come at a better time. Why? The Englishman finished solo second in his last two PGA Tour starts, including at TPC Sawgrass a few days ago. On Thursday, he’ll get his tournament started at 12:53 p.m. ET alongside Daniel Berger and Keegan Bradley.
Phil Mickelson, Adam Scott, defending champion Sungjae Im and Rickie Fowler are all teeing it up at the Champion Course as well.
