2021 Open Championship live coverage: How to watch Friday’s second round

After an exciting opening day at the 2021 Open Championship, players are set for the second round at Royal St. George’s. Don’t worry if you’re not one of the fortunate few who have a ticket to be there in person on Friday, you can follow along from the comfort of your own home. Here’s what you need to know to watch the second-round Open action on TV or online.
Previewing Open Championship Round 2
The stars of the opening round at the 149th Open Championship mostly came from the early-morning wave who had the first crack at Royal St. George’s on Thursday. Not surprisingly, it’s two former Open champions who find themselves nearly knotted at the top prior to the start of Round 2.
Louis Oosthuizen, winner of the 2010 Open, shot a flawless 64 to take the lead at six under. Meanwhile, 2017 champion Jordan Spieth almost matched Louis’ stellar round on day one, making six birdies on his way to a 65. He’s tied for second with Brian Harman at five under with 54 holes to play in Sandwich.

Spieth will tee off for Friday’s second round at 9:26 a.m. ET with Bryson DeChambeau (one over) and Branden Grace (two over). Oosthuizen will start his day shortly thereafter at 9:59 a.m. ET with defending champion Shane Lowry (one over) and U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm (one over).
The coverage will start early Friday morning, even earlier for fans in the United States. Exclusive Peacock Premium coverage of Round 2 starts at 1:30 a.m. ET. Golf Channel will handle the TV broadcast for Friday beginning at 4 a.m. ET.
