Notable groupings for Zozo Championship Round 1
Tiger Woods makes his return to competitive golf on Thursday for the opening round of the Zozo. He’s coming off a missed cut at the U.S. Open, but he’s also the defending champion this week, and Sherwood — the temporary host course — is a course he knows very well.
With the tournament located in southern California, tee times will be late for fans watching on the East Coast. Tiger will get the first round started at 1:45 p.m. ET (10:45 a.m. local time). He’ll play his first 36 holes alongside Matthew Wolff and World No. 7 and co-favorite Xander Schauffele.
Other notable groupings for Thursday’s opening round include Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas and Patrick Reed (2:40 p.m. ET); Webb Simpson, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson (2:51 p.m. ET); Jon Rahm, Justin Rose and Hideki Matsuyama (1:34 p.m. ET); and Adam Scott, Jason Day and Tommy Fleetwood (2:40 p.m. ET).
