These days the office is only steps away from the bedroom for many of us. It’s easy to fall into the bad habit of waking up, plopping down to work a room or two over, go back to bed, and repeat. The most exercise you might receive all day is stepping over your golf bag in a makeshift home office.
My solution? Start walking the course!
After all, golf is a walking sport at heart. Squeeze in 9 holes after work. Leave your footprint on the course through the morning dew. Walking vs. Riding? There’s no debate. It’s amazing how the golf experience changes when you play the game the way it’s meant to be.
One thing I find holds golfers back from walking is their clunky, overweight golf bags. Let’s just be honest: there’s no reason to have a staff bag if you’re not on Tour.
And in fact, there might not even be a reason to have a staff bag if you are on Tour. Even the pros are turning the corner and starting to use carry bags themselves.
