The 2022 Genesis Invitational hosted by Tiger Woods begins this week at Riviera. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
Genesis Invitational preview
Patrick Cantlay may not have won yet this season, but the reigning PGA Tour Player of the Year is playing just as well as he was last fall when he captured the FedEx Cup title. In four events so far in 2022, Cantlay has finished outside of the top-4 only once, and that came at the American Express where he finished ninth. Last week, he narrowly lost in a playoff at the WM Phoenix Open.
Those results were good enough to improve his world ranking to No. 3, and a win this week at the Genesis would go a long way to helping him reach No. 1. Cantlay will have his work cut out for him at Riviera though, where a star-studded field awaits, one that includes Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, Xander Schauffle and more.
Extensive coverage of this year’s Genesis Invitational will be provided by Golf Channel and CBS on TV and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ online for those who prefer to stream the tournament.
