The 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic has reached its halfway point, so that means it’s time for Moving Day on Saturday at Detroit Golf Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch the third round on TV or online.
Previewing Rocket Mortgage Classic Round 3
At this year’s Rocket Mortgage Classic, there is at least one common theme with last year’s tournament: boatloads of birdies are being made by the PGA Tour pros in the field. The cut line ended up at three under, which means several players who were under par over the first two rounds missed the cut and will not be playing Saturday.
Phil Mickelson is not one of them, though he came about as close as he could to getting the axe. Mickelson began the second round at three under and improved to four under at one point. Then bogeys at 12 and 14 dropped him to two under, and it looked like Mickelson would be heading home early after all.
But Phil made a nifty birdie at No. 17, securing his place for the weekend, and earning himself a solo tee time to begin the proceedings Saturday morning. Mickelson tees off at 7:35 a.m. ET.
Joaquin Niemann and Tom Lewis share the lead at 10 under heading into Round 3. They’ll tee off in the final pairing at 2:05 p.m. ET. Below you will find everything you need to watch the third round on Saturday.
