2021 Farmers Insurance Open tee times: First round groupings for Thursday

Notable groupings for Farmers Insurance Open Round 1

At Torrey Pines this week, golf fans will get to see Rory McIlroy teeing it up stateside for the first time since the 2020 Masters in November, where he finished T5. Rory is the co-betting favorite at the Farmers, but he’ll have to get through one of the strongest field of the year to win. McIlroy tees off for the opening round on Thursday at 1:40 p.m. ET alongside Brooks Koepka and Matthew Wolff.

The player sharing the betting favorite honors with Rory is World No. 2 Jon Rahm. Rahm has top-10 finishes in his last three starts, dating back to a T2 finish at the Zozo Championship at Sherwood CC, and he nearly won last year’s Farmers. A win this week would go a long way in helping him overcome Dustin Johnson for the No. 1 ranking. Rahm begins his tournament on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. ET, and he’ll play with defending champion Marc Leishman and Jason Day.
