Several proven Tour winners got off to hot starts Thursday at the 2020 Sanderson Farms Championship. Now they’ll try to back it up in Friday’s second round to position themselves for a run on the weekend. Here’s what you need to know to watch the second round.
Previewing Sanderson Farms Round 2
For years, on-course struggles and a battle with Lyme disease have wreaked havoc on Jimmy Walker’s world ranking, dropping him all the way to 352nd to start this week. You wouldn’t know it by his scorecard on Thursday. The 2016 PGA Champion fired an eight-under 64 in Round 1 of the Sanderson Farms, leaving him tied for the early co-lead with Charley Hoffman.
Walker wasn’t the only former PGA champ to go low in the opening round. Keegan Bradley, who won the PGA at Atlanta Athletic Club in 2011, shot a 66 on Thursday to reach six under.
But those major winners have plenty of company near the top of the leaderboard heading into Friday’s second round, including defending champion Sebastián Muñoz, who teed off in the afternoon on Thursday and blitzed the front nine to start his title defense.
Below you will find everything you need to watch the second round of the Sanderson Farms Championship on Friday.
