The 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic gets underway Thursday with the opening round at Detroit Golf Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.

Previewing Rocket Mortgage Classic Round 1

Given his performance so far this season, Cameron Young is arguably the best active player without a PGA Tour win. The rising star has made a name for himself this year with great showings at the majors, contending at the PGA and finishing in solo-second at the Open earlier this month.

But the Open wasn’t his only near-miss. Incredibly, Young has a total of four runner-up finishes to go along with two T3s this season. At some point, he’s is going to break through and win, and once that happens, the wins could come in bunches, as they have for Scottie Scheffler this year. He’s hoping he can get it all started this week in Detroit.

Young will begin his opening round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic at 12:43 p.m. ET on Thursday playing alongside Davis Love III and Will Zalatoris. You can stream the first round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+, or watch the telecast on Golf Channel.
