The 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic kicks off this week at Detroit Golf Club, and plenty of PGA Tour stars are in the field. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.

Rocket Mortgage Classic preview

Australian pro Cam Davis captured his first-ever PGA Tour victory at last year’s Rocket Mortgage Classic, shooting 67 in the final round with an eagle-birdie finish to make a three-man playoff, which he won on the fifth hole. Davis is back this year to try and go back-to-back, but he’ll have some tough competition along the way.

Last week’s 3M Open winner, Tony Finau, is also in the field and riding a wave of late-season momentum, not unlike last year. World No. 4 Patrick Cantlay, who has been contending all year despite not capturing a victory, is eyeing an overdue trip to the winner’s circle.

Davis will also have to fend off two of the biggest stars from this year’s majors, at least among those who didn’t win: Will Zalatoris and Cameron Young. Both Young and Zalatoris are in the Top 20 in the Official World Golf Ranking, and both, incredibly, are still in search of their maiden wins on Tour.
