The 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship, the first event of the 2022 FedEx Cup Playoffs, gets underway this week at TPC Southwind in Memphis. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
FedEx St. Jude preview
Heading into the first playoff event last year, Scottie Scheffler had yet to capture a PGA Tour win. Same goes for when the playoffs concluded at the 2021 Tour Championship. But since then, everything has changed for Scheffler.
The 26-year-old took the Tour by storm this spring, capturing his first career win and then adding three more in quick succession, including his first major win at the Masters. All of that was good enough to earn him the No. 1 spot in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Now as he readies to begin this year’s playoff opener, the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Scheffler also leads the FedEx Cup standings, with the best shot of anyone to bring home the $18 million bonus.
Scheffler will begin his playoffs on Thursday at the St. Jude, teeing off at 9:21 a.m. ET alongside Cameron Smith and Sam Burns.
Golf Channel and NBC will provide TV coverage of the FedEx St. Jude Championship and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ and NBCSports.com will stream the action online.
