The 2022 PGA Championship continues on Friday, May 20, with the second round at Southern Hills. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 2 on TV or online.
Previewing PGA Championship Round 2
Your 18-hole leader at the 2022 PGA Championship is Rory McIlroy. The four-time major champion put on a show Thursday morning playing alongside Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth, making seven birdies to shoot a five-under 65.
Incredibly, it’s the first time since the 2014 PGA Championship that Rory has led a major round at the end of play. Even better news for Rory fans? McIlroy won in 2014 for his second PGA title.
Woods and Spieth did not fare as well on Day 1, struggling to rounds of 74 and 72, respectively. But McIlroy has plenty of company near the top, like Will Zalatoris (four under), Justin Thomas (three under), Cameron Smith and Xander Schauffele (two under).
On Friday, all of them will get back to it to either try and position themselves for a weekend run or simply try and make the cut.
You can stream the entire second round on ESPN+, which will open the online coverage at 8 a.m. ET and will also include featured group and featured hole coverage. The second-round telecast can be found on ESPN beginning at 2 p.m. ET.
