The 2022 Open Championship is set to begin on Thursday at the legendary Old Course at St. Andrews. Here’s everything you need to know about watching the Open this week, including tee times for the first two rounds and full streaming and TV schedules.

How to watch the Open Championship

This week’s Open is the historic 150th playing of the event, and it has a full flock of star players and storylines that hope to do it justice. World No. 2 Rory McIlroy is the pre-tournament betting favorite after playing some of his best golf in years so far this season. He’s had near-misses at the first three majors and is taking aim at his fifth major title this week.

But the three players who have already won majors in 2022 — Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Thomas, and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler — haven’t let up the pressure since their big wins and still have their games dialed in for this week.

Elsewhere, last year’s runner-up Jordan Spieth will try to avenge not only his loss last year, but his near-miss at the 2015 Open at St. Andrews, while defending champion Collin Morikawa will certainly make his presence known throughout the week. And don’t forget about Tiger Woods, who is making his first start since the PGA Championship.

For those U.S.-based golf fans watching the action from the comfort of their homes, NBC and USA will carry the TV broadcasts, and extensive streaming options are available via Peacock, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app to catch the action online.
