The 2023 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, one of the final PGA Tour events of the season, kicks off this week, and we’re picking a relative unknown as our long shot to win. Here’s our pick, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship odds, betting favorites and everything else you need to know.

Butterfield Bermuda odds: Long-shot bet

Our long-shot pick for this week is a name that probably isn’t familiar to most golf fans: Justin Lower (+5000 odds to win).

Lower, 34, has never won a PGA Tour event, but he’s shown promising signs of a breakthrough this season. Lower has made 18 cuts so far this season, and he’s earned three top-10 finishes.

One of those top-10s happened to come at last October’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship, which due to the Tour schedule changes is technically part of the same 2022-23 season.

In recent weeks, Lower finished T41 at the Zozo Championship and T23 at last week’s low-scoring World Wide Technology Championship.

Should Lower pull off his maiden Tour victory this week, you could turn a $10 bet into $500. Consider placing additional small bets on Lower to finish top 10 and top 20 for insurance.

Looking for more long-shot picks for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship? Our honorable mentions this week are Ryan Palmer (+5000) and Peter Kuest (+6600).

Butterfield Bermuda odds: The favorites

Right behind Scott is Brendon Todd at +1800, followed by Alex Noren and Thomas Detry tied at +2000.

How last week’s long shot fared

Our long-shot pick for last week’s World Wide Technology Championship, Joel Dahmen (+5500) unfortunately withdrew before the event began, so we got our wagers back.

However, one of our honorable mentions, Chesson Hadley (+6600), had himself a week, firing a final-round 63 to finish T7, good enough for a top-10 hit.
