2022 Valspar Championship final round preview
The passing of last week’s Players Championship marked a significant anniversary in the golf world – one that Justin Thomas would rather forget. The World’s No. 8 player has now gone a calendar year without a PGA Tour victory, a streak of frustration dating back to last year’s Players. At the Valspar, Thomas enters Sunday’s final round with his best recent chance of nabbing a victory, trailing by just three strokes heading into the final day of play.
If Thomas is to grab his first victory in a year, he’ll have to chase down Davis Riley in the process. Riley, a 25-year-old former University of Alabama player, is looking for his first career victory at the Valspar. In addition to Thomas, Riley will have to fend off Sam Burns, Robert Streb and Xander Schauffele on Sunday in Palm Harbor.
Below, find everything you need to know about payout information, including winner’s share for the Valspar’s $7.8 million purse; you can catch the action from 3-6 p.m. ET on NBC.
