Just a few days after missing the 54-hole cut at the American Express, Fowler stormed out to a six-under 66 in the opening round at Torrey Pines. Fowler was helped by the fact that he played the more gettable North Course on Wednesday.

For Thursday’s second round, Fowler will switch to the more difficult South Course, the site of last year’s U.S. Open, where the third and final rounds will also be played.

Fowler’s star-studded group, which also features Jordan Spieth (two under) and Bryson DeChambeau (two under), will start off the 10th tee at 1:40 p.m. ET (10:40 a.m. local time). You can watch Thursday’s entire round online via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+.
