Once the first round is complete, the entire field will return to Liberty National to do it all again in Round 2 of the 2021 Northern Trust. You can find full second round tee times for the tournament at the bottom of this post.

Notable groupings for Northern Trust Round 2

Jordan Spieth has big dreams for this year’s FedEx Cup Playoffs. One year after failing to advance to the second playoff event, the BMW Championship, Spieth enters this year’s Northern Trust ranked No. 2 in the standings. That all but guarantees him a spot in the Tour Championship, but just making it to East Lake is unlikely to satisfy the three-time major champion.

His week at Liberty National did not get started quite how he would have liked on Thursday. Spieth teed off early in the morning and made bogey on his opening hole. By the turn, he’d added two more bogeys against one birdie to fall to two over. Still, there’s plenty of golf left to be played.

For Friday’s second round, Spieth will switch to an afternoon tee time, beginning the day at 1:06 p.m. ET with Collin Morikawa (No. 1 in the FedEx standings) and Patrick Cantlay (No. 3) as playing partners.

Other notable groupings for the opening round include Dustin Johnson, Joaquin Niemann and Stewart Cink (8:04 a.m. ET); Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, and Sam Burns (8:15 a.m. ET); Hideki Matsuyama, Brooks Koepka and Cameron Smith (12:44 p.m. ET); and Rory McIlroy, Max Homa, and Corey Conners (12:55 p.m. ET).
