With three men’s majors already decided, it’s time for the 2021 Open Championship, the final major of the year, to begin at Royal St. George’s. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the action on TV.

Where to watch the Open Championship on TV

The grand return of the Open Championship is upon us at last. Last year’s event was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and while restrictions are in place this time around, Royal St. George’s will get the chance to host its 15th Open this week, and plenty of fans will be there in person.

All four rounds will air on TV with coverage split between NBC and Golf Channel. Given that the event is taking place in England, the coverage for American viewers will begin very early in the morning. Golf Channel will air the first two rounds, with their broadcasts starting at 4 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday. Golf Channel will then carry the early action on Saturday and Sunday, with NBC taking over for the conclusion of the third and final rounds.

In addition to television coverage on NBC and Golf Channel, Peacock, NBCUniversal’s new streaming service, will provide exclusive early coverage of the first two rounds, featured group and hole coverage every day, and simulcasts of the TV broadcasts.
