Editor’s Picks: The best apparel for the traveling golfer

The scenario is far too familiar. You’ve got a tee time booked at a can’t-miss course, but not much time to spare between when your plane lands and your arrival on the 1st tee. Or, in a different way, you really want to hit some balls and loosen up off a cross-country flight. Five minutes is all you need, but that means you don’t have time to pull a new outfit out of the luggage and change. 

Recently, this took place for me at Torrey Pines. Our plane landed an hour before our first tee time and I sadly wasted time waiting for my precious golf shorts and polo (which were late to arrive in baggage claim). Lesson learned (for the fourth time). For someone who travels a lot and travels for golf a lot, it’s time to invest in some travel golf clothes.
