Why the Bag Boy Nitron Auto-Open Push Cart was the best thing I used in 2024
I can’t even tell you how often I would get to that certain section of my local golf shop and come to a complete stop. I’d cock my head and purse my lips as I checked out every single push cart they had on display, gentling rolling them back and forth like I was testing out a stroller for a newborn.
I’d find the break lever — I wanted one near my hands, not by my feet — and open every single hatch to the storage compartment, which I thought was the most crucial part of a push cart. You see, I don’t walk all the time; I’m at about a 50/50 split when it comes to walking vs. riding on the golf course. But when I did walk and use my push cart, I couldn’t stand how small the storage area was. My phone didn’t fit in there. The scorecard had to be folded to do so. Snacks hardly fit. How can someone focus on golf with such chaos?!

These issues weren’t gravely important, but they were enough to annoy me. And I’m already annoyed enough at my own game when I play. So I was constantly in the market for a new push cart.
And after looking at dozens online and in person, I finally found the one I wanted to try. And let me tell you, I’ll never use anything else.
The Bag Boy Nitron Auto-Open Push Cart is perfect. It rolls like a dream and it has all the gadgets and bells and whistles you desire. And it’s those things, let me tell you, that I love.
There’s a handy spot to safely and securely prop up my phone, a stable cup holder and a large storage compartment — unlike my former model — that can fit loads of stuff. Another one of my favorite features is the roomy pouch that hangs down below the handle, which is perfect for your rangefinders, snacks, gloves, balls or anything else you want easy access to.
Oh, and the functionality? This thing opens and closes better than any push cart I’ve ever used — that’s because of the nitro-piston technology and its clever auto-open feature — and takes up hardly any space when you need to store it.
OK, you get the point by now — the Bag Boy Nitron Auto-Open Push Cart is sweet (there are also other Bag Boy models you can browse below). Maybe it’s time you find out for yourself.
