Notable groupings for KPMG Women’s PGA Round 1
Of the many players to look out for during Thursday’s opening round of the KPMG Women’s PGA is Sophia Popov. Popov won the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Troon last month, and now she returns to get her first crack at a second major title. Popov tees off for the first round at 12:56 p.m. ET alongside Julia Engstrom and Brittany Lincicome.
Defending champion Hannah Green is back to try for a second straight Women’s PGA triumph. She’ll play the first two rounds in a star-studded grouping featuring Brooke Henderson and Danielle Kang. They begin their round at 1:07 p.m. ET on Thursday.
Other notable groupings for Round 1 include Lexi Thompson, Stacy Lewis and Georgia Hall (8:38 p.m. ET); Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko and Charley Hull (1:01 p.m. ET); Mirim Lee, Azahara Munoz and Amy Yang (8:27 a.m. ET); and Morgan Pressel, Hinako Shibuno and Anne van Dam (12:50 p.m. ET).
