The 2020 Memorial Tournament begins on Thursday at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the first round.

Previewing the Memorial Tournament Round 1

On Thursday at the Memorial, there will be no spectators after the PGA Tour reversed an earlier plan that would have made the event the first to welcome fans since the Tour returned in June. It will be unusual for sure, but one familiar sight we’ll see in the opening round is Tiger Woods on the 1st tee.

It will be the first time we’ve seen Woods play a round on Tour since February, and it’s a great place for him to make his return for one reason: he’s won the Memorial five times. He’ll play alongside two of the best in the game for the first two rounds in Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka. They tee off at 1:17 p.m. ET Thursday.

There will be no shortage of star power outside of that featured grouping, though. The Memorial always attracts one of the stoutest fields each season, but this year’s field is even stronger than normal. Recent winners like World No. 7 Bryson DeChambeau and World No. 4 Dustin Johnson will also by vying for the title.
