Spring is nearing its end, with summer right around the corner, which means it’s time for the second women’s major of the year, the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open at The Olympic Club. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
How to watch the U.S. Women’s Open
The U.S. Women’s Open is arguably the biggest golf tournament on the women’s calendar, and this year is no different, with a star-studded field ready to take on a historic course. Players like Nelly Korda, Brooke Henderson, Danielle Kang, World No. 1 Jin Young Ko, defending champion A Lim Kim, Lexi Thompson and Lydia Ko, just to name a few, are all ready to hoist the trophy Sunday night. This year’s Open will also feature the return of 2014 champion Michelle Wie West.
The venue for the 2021 tournament is The Olympic Club in San Francisco. The famed institution is the oldest athletic club in the country. It has hosted the men’s U.S. Open five times, including most recently in 2012 when Webb Simpson triumphed for his first major win.
Fortunately for golf fans, the biggest event of the year has the most extensive live coverage as well. NBC and Golf Channel will hold down the TV coverage. You can watch the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open on Golf Channel and NBC. Golf Channel will air the first two rounds on Thursday and Friday, as well as late coverage of Saturday’s third round. NBC will air three hours of coverage on Saturday afternoon and the final four hours of coverage on Sunday. Check out the full TV schedule below.
