No, Woods is the host of the Hero World Challenge — one of golf’s most exclusive limited-field events — serving as the week’s unofficial emcee and player entertainer.
Through three rounds of play, rather, it’s been the man whispered as Woods’ newest successor atop the golf mantel who’s dominated play. Collin Morikawa enters Sunday at the Hero holding a five-stroke lead over the remainder of the field. This could be an eventful Sunday for the two-time major champ — Morikawa (-18) stands just 18 holes away from becoming the fourth-youngest World No. 1 in golf history.
