With one round complete at the 2020 Bermuda Championship, only 18 holes remain for the stragglers to make a run and secure a spot for the weekend. Here’s what you need to know to watch the second round on Friday.
Previewing Bermuda Championship Round 2
Red numbers weren’t hard to come by on Thursday at Port Royal GC, but one player produced a score redder than all the others, Peter Malnati. Malnati fired an impressive eight-under 63 on the opening day of play in Bermuda, earning himself the first-round lead.
But the 33-year-old veteran, who has just one win in his PGA Tour career, may not be sleeping comfortably Thursday night. That’s because his lead is only one, and more than a dozen players are within three shots. including 2009 Open champion Stewart Cink. Three-time major winner Padraig Harrington is four back after an opening-round 67.
