2024 Travelers Championship purse: Payout info, winner’s share

Tom Kim and Scottie Scheffler, to celebrate the June 21st birthday they share, ate pizza earlier this week — and Kim would like you to know the amount.
“I had a lot of pizza,” he said.
“So I kind of told myself, no matter what, I wouldn’t do that in a tournament, but it’s my birthday and it’s kind of a tradition — you know, me, Scottie, we have the same birthday, so we had an early birthday celebration.”
Good stuff, no pun intended.
But what does that have to do with a story headlined “2024 Travelers Championship purse: Payout info, winner’s share?”
Hear us out.
Say Kim or Scheffler win. Kim, after all, was leading by one heading into Sunday’s final round, and Scheffler was among those a stroke back. And say one of them collected the $3.6 million winner’s share from the $20 million purse.
And say they went back to Sally’s APizza, where Kim said they’d been.
And say they decided to eat $3.6 mill worth of pizza.

They could order 121,008 large mozzarella tomato sauce pies (priced at $29.75, according to Sally’s website.)
That’s also a lot of pizza.
