The defending champion this week is Rory McIlroy, but last year wasn’t his only win at the event. McIlroy has an impressive total of three Wells Fargo titles in his career. As a result, he’s the favorite to win, despite the fact that the tournament is not at usual host course Quail Hollow in 2022.

During Thursday’s opening round at temporary host TPC Potomac, McIlroy got off to a solid start, shooting a three-under 67 to get within a couple shots of the lead. He’ll try to take the next step toward the lead in Round 2 on Friday.
McIlroy will tee off for the second round at 12:54 p.m. ET on Friday with playing partners Francesco Molinari and Webb Simpson. You can stream the second round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+, or watch the telecast on Golf Channel.
