Like the Sentry Tournament of Champions that preceded it, the Sony Open is a low-scoring event. Players had to shoot five under or better through 36 holes just to earn the right to play the weekend.

Russell Henley has separated himself as the man to watch at the tournament’s halfway point, posting rounds of 62-63 to take a three-shot lead heading into the weekend.

Can Henley hang on? The 32-year-old has not only proven himself on the PGA Tour with three wins on his resume, he’s also done it once before in Hawaii. The 2013 Sony Open marked his maiden Tour victory.

He’ll have plenty of competition over the next few days though, starting with his third-round playing companion, Haotong Li. The duo tees off in the final pairing on Saturday at 6:40 p.m. ET.
