The third round of the 2022 Open Championship begins early Saturday morning, July 16, at the Old Course at St. Andrews. You can find complete Round 3 Open tee times at the bottom this post.

We’re ready for the weekend at the 150th Open Championship, and it’s going to be a good one. At the top of the leaderboard after 36 holes is a player golf fans have grown accustomed to seeing contending at majors over the last two years: 28-year-old Cameron Smith.

The Australian star put on a clinic on the Old Course’s ancient greens on Friday, to the tune of an eight-under 64. That gives him a two-shot lead over PGA Tour Rookie Cameron Young (11 under).

But four-time major champion Rory McIlroy is in top form and lurking just behind those two players at 10 under, thanks to a second-round 68. He’s tied with Viktor Hovland.

Smith and Young have earned the right to play in the final pairing for Saturday’s third round. They’ll tee off at 10:55 a.m. ET, 10 minutes after McIlroy and Hovland start their rounds.
