Previewing Arnold Palmer Invitational Round 3
On Friday at Bay Hill, conditions took a turn for the treacherous, with scores soaring compared the opening round. But someone forgot to tell Viktor Hovland. The World No. 4 came out of the gates firing and put together an impressive six-under 66 in Round 2 to take the lead with 36 holes to go.
Hovland, who reached nine under on Friday, has a two-shot lead over a trio of challengers. Among them is World No. 5 Rory McIlroy, who is looking for his first win of 2022 in what is just his second PGA Tour start of the year. Tyrrell Hatton and Talor Gooch are tied with McIlroy at seven under.
McIlroy and Gooch will start the third round in the penultimate paring at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by the final pairing of Hovland and Hatton at 1:40 p.m. ET.
You can stream the entire third round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ and Peacock or watch the telecasts on Golf Channel and NBC.
