The 2021 Ryder Cup is off and running at Whistling Straits, with four matches already in the books on Day 1. Now the U.S. and European teams will reset for the Friday afternoon session, featuring four fourball matches. You can view the complete tee times and pairings for Friday afternoon’s fourball matches below.
Halfway through the first day of play, it’s the Americans who have jumped out to an early 3-to-1 lead. Europeans Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia knocked off Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas in the very first match, but that would be the only point Team Europe would receive in the morning session.
But now we turn to the first fourball session of this Ryder Cup. In the fourball format, all four players play their own ball, with the best score winning the hole. So if one player on a team goes on a run, he can carry his teammate throughout the match.
