The 2021 Arnold Palmer Invitational continues on Friday, March 5, with round 2 at Bay Hill. You can find full second round tee times at the bottom of this post.
Notable groupings for Arnold Palmer Invitational Round 2
Rory McIlroy started on the back nine for Thursday’s opening round at Bay Hill, but no matter where he started it probably wouldn’t have made a difference. The four-time major champion was in a groove, collecting seven birdies on his way to a six-under 66 to take the early lead.
For Friday’s second round, McIlroy will switch to starting off the 1st tee, and once again will play alongside defending champion Tyrrell Hatton and Francesco Molinari. They tee off at 12:46 p.m. ET. Will switching tees hurt Rory? Probably not considering that he made five-straight birdies on holes 2-6 on Thursday.
Other notable groupings for the second round include Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Rose and Jordan Spieth (12:57 p.m. ET); Max Homa, Patrick Reed and Billy Horschel (8:06 a.m. ET); Sungjae Im, Keegan Bradley and Russell Knox (8:17 a.m. ET); and Kevin Na, Shane Lowry and Ian Poulter (7:44 a.m. ET).
