Annika Sorenstam is playing in her first LPGA event in 13 years. While she came out on the wrong end of a rules gaffe that nearly caused her to miss the cut, she’s holding her own at the age of 50.

So how does someone like Sorenstam take such a long layoff and make it to the weekend in her first event back in over a decade?

Well first off, she’s a GOAT. No question.

Second, despite taking time off, Sorenstam never stopped moving.

No, seriously.

She is constantly working out, playing golf and doing other activities with her family. Among her favorite workouts are cycling and bodyweight circuits which keep her in shape all year round.

She loves being active, and if you look at her Instagram it’s obvious that no activity is off limits. She cycles, kayaks, water skis, swims, and more.

As for her workouts, they’re no joke either, but they give great insight into what it takes to be a champion golfer.

If you want to get fit like Annika, give the below workout a try. It’s sure to whip you into shape and get you ready for the upcoming season.

If you’re unfamiliar with the term “tabata,” it’s a form of high-intensity training in which you alternate short periods of demanding physical activity with even shorter periods of rest. The typical tabata interval is 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest.

In the workout above, you would do each of the exercises in a tabata style for four minutes or eight rounds. It might sound easy, but tabata workouts will burn out your muscles faster than you think.

This style of workout is great for those days you can’t make it to the gym or if you don’t have access to any equipment. The best part about this type of workout is that it works with any bodyweight movement.

While you can’t swing like Annika on the course, working out like her in the gym is guaranteed to get you into golf shape come spring.
