No putting method has benefited more from the 2016 anchor ban than the arm-lock stroke. Webb Simpson and Bryson DeChambeau have turned into world-beaters on the greens since they switched to the popular method; Will Zalatoris also recorded a runner-up finish in his first Masters start wielding a White Hot Pro #7 with an arm-lock grip.

Arm-lock will never overtake more traditional methods, but there’s no debating its bonafides.

With the rise in usage on Tour (and in the recreational ranks), some manufacturers have begun adding arm-lock-specific models to their current lineup. Odyssey is the latest to offer an arm-lock version in their successful 2-Ball Ten head shape.

Offered in longer 40- and 42-inch lengths, the 2-Ball Ten Arm-Lock features 7 degrees of loft to compensate for the additional forward shaft lean that must be maintained during the stroke. The putter’s sole is equipped with two 15-gram weight screws that can be removed to enhance stability and overall weight.

A longer arm-lock grip is designed to rest against your forearm to promote a consistent, repeatable stroke. The head comes standard at 385 grams with a double-bend shaft.

Odyssey’s 2-Ball Ten Arm-Lock retails for $299 and is available June 16.
