Floral patterns are seemingly everywhere, but if you’re used to wearing solids and stripes, it can feel like a big leap to don a polo with a flower print. Justin Rose, a Bonobos ambassador since 2019, has employed an on-course look that has become brighter and more playful since partnering with the brand, and he appreciates its inherently transitional nature.
“I feel like that’s how I want to dress,” Rose told me in a phone interview on behalf of Bonobos. “I want to have that kind of slight crossover, where I feel like I can wear what I wear on the golf course or [elsewhere] in my lifestyle. [But] Bonobos has definitely given me the option to be more playful on the golf course and to bring a bit more of my personality out there.”
Prints and florals are a surefire way to express yourself on the course, whether it’s with loud pinks and purples or more subtle hues of blue. There’s truly something for everyone. As a four-year member of Columbia’s inaugural class of female varsity golfers, Jessica can out-birdie everyone on the masthead. She can out-hustle them in the office, too, where she’s primarily responsible for producing both print and online features, and overseeing major special projects, such as GOLF’s inaugural Style Issue, which debuted in February 2018. Her original interview series, “A Round With,” debuted in November of 2015, and appeared in both in the magazine and in video form on GOLF.com.
