Garmin Approach S10 Watch
The Garmin Approach S10 GPS watch provides accurate yardages to the front, center, and back of greens — as well as layup, hazard and dogleg distances. The watch is pre-loaded with 41,000 courses and offers free course updates. The watch allows for score tracking and sports automatic course selection, hole transition, round summary and date and time display.
I’ll admit, I’m not technically buying this, but that’s only because I just picked up a very similar GPS watch and love it so much I’m recommending this similar item to you — because this one is $50 off! I got sick of being the guy asking playing partners for yardages, so I finally bought a GPS watch that I strap to my golf bag (I don’t like wearing watches on the course). It’s beautifully simplistic: easy to use with accurate yardages to hazards and to different areas of the green. And once you sync it with the course you never have to touch it again as it just updates as you move along your way. It has even more bells and whistles you might find handy, but mine is worth it simply to get a reliable number. It’s a game-changer. —Josh Berhow
The Bushnell Phantom easily clips onto a bag or belt or it can be mounted to a cart or metal surface with BITE magnetic mount. The Phantom has a long battery life that allows you to play up to 2 rounds before charging and features auto course recognition and auto hole advance. The Phantom GPS is preloaded with 36,000+ courses in 30 countries, and will provide front, center and back distances as well as up to 4 hazard distances per hole.
This holiday season I’m buying the Bushnell Phantom GPS for my grandpa (Pap, if you’re reading this, stop now!). He has something similar that’s on the fritz, and has mentioned a few times that he’d like a new one. This one is perfect because it mounts onto any golf cart. The flashy red color makes it more difficult to accidentally leave behind, too. This Black Friday, it’s $50 off (so less than $80!) — a deal too sweet to ignore. —Emily Haas

It’s not easy finding golf shoes that are stylish, comfortable and affordable. Golf shoes often only check off one or two of those three boxes. Nike’s Infinity G shoe is the rare exception. I did a double-take when I saw kicks of that caliber with a price tag of $44.99. For me, it’s a matter of how many pairs I’m buying as gifts (and for myself). —Tim Reilly
