The PGA Championship's new hype video is the perfect way to prepare for the first major of the year.

GOLF

We’ve had to endure more than a year without a major championship. The wait has been excruciating, but it all ends Thursday with the opening round of the PGA Championship. If you’re golf-obsessed, you likely don’t need any help getting amped up for Tiger, JT and crew at TPC Harding Park.

For those who still need some convincing that primetime major championship golf on the West Coast is the best combination around, the PGA Championship’s hype video is here to change your mind.

In the latest edition of GOLF’s “Backspin” video series, equipment editors Jonathan Wall and Andrew Tursky offer their takes on the year’s first major, San Francisco and drop a few “Full House” references.

Come for the footage of Tiger staring daggers at the hole, stay for some Tanner family goodness. If all of that doesn’t get you amped up to run through a brick wall, the music certainly will.
