When creating our Fall/Winter 2020 Style Guide, we considered tons of products from golf brands across the spectrum, large and small. We narrowed down our favorites based on upcoming trends for the fall and winter seasons. Below, I’ve taken the curation process a step further and edited our initial selection to spotlight a few items I’m especially excited about this season.
Lululemon Evolution polo
What it is: A seamless performance polo designed for movement.
Why I love it: Everyone should have a solid go-to polo. You know, the shirt you always reach for — the Lululemon Evolution polo is quickly becoming that for me. It’s extremely soft, and thanks to added lycra, the stretch is great for walking a golf course. Its SilverScent technology works to prevent bacterial growth and reducing odors — a gift we can give to everyone around us, even in this time of face masks and social distancing.

Malbon Team Buckets Snapback
What it is: A retro take on a staple snapback with a nod to your favorite 90s NBA team. It features an adjustable snapback with Malbon Buckets embroidery on the front and back.
Why I love it: As someone with boxes of hats cluttering my shelves, I appreciate a solid lid. Especially this five-panel, fresh take of an old standard that stands out in the crowd of dad hats and performance headwear. Sometimes the best statement is a quiet one.

Reigning Champ Coaches Pant
What is it: A versatile pant designed with movement and durability in mind. Primeflex fabrics are utilized to reduce wrinkling, repel water and resist wrinkles.
Why I love it: Reigning Champ has been making some of the best modern sports apparel for a while. I was growing tired of ill-fitting pants that wore out quickly and seemed like a waste of money. Reigning Champ’s extreme focus on quality and simplicity inspired me to invest in the brand. The Coach’s Pant is water repellant, odor resistant, has four-way stretch and is designed to hold its shape. These are the kind of pants you can wear to anything and look great. No reason that place can’t be the golf course.

Adidas Super Star
What Is It: A six-cleat, all-leather golf shoe with classic styling updated for the course.
Why I love It: Golf footwear is evolving at a rapid pace, and more and more classic sneakers are being reverse engineered for the short grass. These more causal sneakers have made it so much easier to put looks together. Enter the classic shell toe and clean white-and-black color combo. You can easily pair these with just about anything. I had my concerns about the toe box, but after walking a few holes these are one of the most comfortable shoes out of the box I have tried.

Seamus Fescue Project Bag
What is it: A lightweight handmade golf bag crafted in Portland. Minimalistic in its approach and design, it has everything you need and nothing you don’t.
Why I love it: A good bag is more than just being lightweight. It should aid in my enjoyment of the round of golf, not detract from it, and to be honest look really cool. While the Fescue Project bags can easily hold 14 clubs, the sweet spot is playing a reduced set or half set. Since a lot of my golf these days is with my family, I’ve started carrying a half sets or 10 clubs — only what I need for a quick nine. These bags are just as useful all around the world. I’ve carried one around Scotland, Ireland and the majority of the U.S. for the last few years, and it looks better and better with age.
