If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to play a round alongside some of the game’s biggest names in the tropical paradise of Nayarit, Mexico, now is your chance to turn a dream into reality.
At the Punta Mita Invitational, an ultra-luxe pro-am contested at Punta Mita’s exceptional Jack Nicklaus Signature designs, Pacifico and Bahia, participants have the chance to play four rounds alongside a notable pro during a five-night stay at the St. Regis Punta Mita, which recently completed a $45-million renovation. The acclaimed hotel is part of a 1,500-acre resort and residential community set on a private peninsula and surrounded by 9.5 miles of beaches and lush tropical flora just north of Puerto Vallarta.
The 2024 iteration of the tournament hosted a field of tour players and guests that included PGA Tour winners Chris DiMarco, Boo Weekley and John Rollins, major champion Michael Campbell, and longtime tournament favorite Esteban Toledo, a four-time PGA Tour champions winner, who, alongside their amateur participants, competed for three days on the Pacifico and Bahia courses. After the third day of competition, Invitational participants and guests had the chance to watch a group of tour pros in action on the first few holes of the Pacifico course, where they played a different match-play format on each hole. Brendon de Jonge and Esteban Toledo claimed a narrow one-shot victory over Boo Weekley and John Rollins, with Chris DiMarco and Zack Sucher finishing just one shot behind. It was friendly and competitive, with some seriously entertaining banter exchanged.
In the 2025 edition of the tournament, Punta Mita Invitational participants and their spouses and guests will have the opportunity to enjoy Punta Mita’s many amenities, including access to all tournament dinners, cocktail hours and events. By staying onsite, you can enjoy convenient access to everything the resort has to offer, including the ability to walk to everything, like the golf course and beachfront bar, located right next to the 18th green.
Unlike many pro-ams, where interaction with the pros is limited to the course, the Punta Mita Invitational feels more like an exclusive member-guest, where bonds and friendships form both on and off the course, with a multitude of opportunities to connect at the beach, bar and at meals. In short, it’s a one-of-a-kind experience that every participant looks forward to attending again and again.
The Punta Mita Invitational is currently accepting new participant inquiries for the next tournament date: March 10-15, 2025. You can find out more here.
